Hokie ClubBLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech 2026 competition schedule has been announced by head coach Marci Byers on Tuesday.
The fall volleyball slate consists of 30 contests – 15 road and 15 home matches – featuring opponents from nine conferences (MAC, CAA, MEAC, Big South, Sun Belt, Horizon League, NEC, SEC and ACC). ACC action makes up two-thirds of the schedule with 20 conference matches, complemented by 10 non-conference contests.
The Hokies will face 29 different opponents during the season, with Virginia serving as the lone opponent appearing twice on the schedule as part of the Commonwealth Clash. Virginia Tech travels to Charlottesville on October 14 before hosting the Cavaliers in Cassell Coliseum on October 16.
Virginia Tech opens the 2026 campaign at home, hosting the Hokie Invitational on August 28-29 inside Cassell Coliseum. The Hokies then travel to Rock Hill, South Carolina, for the Winthrop Tournament (Sept. 3-4), followed by the Northwestern Tournament in Evanston, Illinois (Sept. 11-13). Non-conference play concludes with a road match at South Carolina on September 18.
ACC play begins on the road with matches at Georgia Tech (Sept. 25) and Clemson (Sept. 27). The Hokies' first conference home weekend features North Carolina (Oct. 9) and Duke (Oct. 11), while the regular season concludes on the road at Duke on November 28.
Returning for her seventh season as Head Coach is Marci Byers. She is joined by Associate Head Coach William Tatge, Assistant Coach Caleb Adams, Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Victoria Brisack, and Director of Operations Kelsey DeShambo.
The 2026 squad is comprised of two seniors, six juniors, four sophomores and seven freshmen. Returning letterwinners for the Hokies include Camilla Brandalise, Isabella Mishler, Reese Hazelton, Ece Yildiz, Ivy Cooper, Adeline Hundl, Georgia Trexler and Paloma Zubiri. Virginia Tech also welcomes four transfers in Layla Moore, Sara Gasparini, Destiny Walker and Frances Torres, along with freshmen Avery Webb, Isa Lopez, Cece Sayles, Camdynn Gonzalez, Santina Martcheva, Avery Feltes and Courtney Burgess.
