EUGENE, Ore. — Virginia Tech wrapped up another strong day at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, with two Hokies earning All-American honors and freshman Jule Lindner advancing to the final of the women's 3000 meter steeplechase.

Pestana competed in the hammer throw, earning her second consecutive All-American honor with a mark of 64.89 meters (212 feet, 10 inches) to finish 11th overall. One of Virginia Tech's most consistent performers throughout the season, Pestana recorded a podium finish at every meet. Her personal-best throw of 66.98 meters at the ACC Championships moved her to No. 3 all-time in program history and earned First Team All-ACC honors with a runner-up finish. She qualified for the NCAA Championships with a throw of 65.98 meters at the NCAA East Regional.

Sistermann cleared 4.39 meters (14 feet, 4¾ inches) in the women's pole vault to earn Second Team All-American honors with a 16th-place finish. She earned All-America honors during both the indoor and outdoor seasons, becoming a four-time All-American while also reaching the podium at both ACC Championships this year.

Freshman Jule Lindner recorded a personal-best time of 9:44.43 in the women's 3000 meter steeplechase, winning her heat and continuing to rewrite the record books as the fastest woman in Virginia Tech history in the event. Her performance secured a spot in Saturday's final.
