Virginia Tech women’s tennis welcomes Blair Gill and Mary Sidelnyk to the team. The two athletes will enter their sophomore year with the Hokies after spending their freshman years elsewhere.

Blair Gill joins the Hokies after one year at the University of Virginia, where she tallied a 12-1 singles record and 7-3 doubles ranking. She reached No. 62 in doubles by the end of the fall season.
Before Charlottesville, Gill was a five-star recruit ranked as high as No. 18 in her class and the No. 1 recruit in Virginia. She ranked as high as No. 9 in the USTA rankings. Gill was the four-time VISAA Conference Player of the Year and four-time VISAA State Player of the Year.
Mary Sidelnyk

Mary Sidelnyk joins the Hokies after one year at the University of Alabama, where she appeared in three matches during her freshman year.
She was ranked as the No. 1 junior player in Ukraine and has won two ITF Junior singles titles. Sidelnyk also won the Ukrainian Open U16 and U14 titles. She has made six total ITF Junior singles finals and seven ITF Junior doubles finals, which include two wins.
