BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech Athletics is introducing Taste of Tech, a new campaign celebrating the exciting food options available to fans attending Hokie athletics events.  

Designed to highlight the unique flavors of Hokie gameday, Taste of Tech will feature rotating concession specials, fan-favorite ballpark classics, and creative menu items throughout the season beginning this spring at English Field and Tech Softball Park.

Meet the Cheesiest Lineup in Blacksburg

At Hokie Softball, the popular Grilled Cheese Food Truck returns for select games with its signature grilled cheese sandwiches and patty melts, along with several featured menu items throughout the season including a jalapeño popper grilled cheese, and a special brunch-inspired bacon, egg & cheese grilled cheese. Fans can also enjoy a new addition to the menu this year: mozzarella sticks.

Step Up to the Plate for These Ballpark Bites

Meanwhile at Hokie Baseball, fans can look forward to a rotating lineup of concession highlights across the season. Featured offerings include Baja chicken sandwiches, pierogies, BBQ sandwiches, soda floats and other ballpark favorites, along with promotions such as the Strikeout Deal, allowing fans to select two concession items for $4 at select games.

Additional themed promotions, including $1 popcorn games and special concession features during select weekend series, will give fans even more reasons to visit the ballpark this spring.
