BLACKSBURG - The Hokies continue their dominant run at home, commanding a 7-0 victory against Bellarmine.
Tech set the tone early by collecting the doubles point with control. Drew Fishback and Frank Thompson wasted no time finishing with a score of 6-0. Moments later, Ilyas Fahim and Patrik Jurina clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 performance.
The momentum carried into singles play, where the Hokies won on all six courts. Fishback was first with a 6-1, 6-2 win, Julian Lozano followed with a 6-3, 7-2 victory, and Eyal Shumilov sealed the match with a score of 6-3, 6-1.
Thomás Brandão, Jurina, and Fahim closed out the morning on a high note. Brandão, a freshman, picked up his first win with a solid 6-3,6-2 showing. Jurina added a 6-2, 6-4 victory, and Fahim wrapped up the sweep with a 7-5, 6-4 finish.
