Hokies drop five set match to Lindenwood in Seahawk Classic finale

Tech goes 2-1 in opening weekend of 2025

WILMINGTON, N.C. - In the Seahawk Classic finale, the Virginia Tech volleyball team fell in five sets to Lindenwood Saturday morning. The result moves the Hokies to 2-1 after the opening weekend of action.

Tech was led on the attack again by Payton Woods who registered 12 kills, her second consecutive match in double figures in that category. She was joined in double figures by Brianna Holliday who had 10 and also recorded four blocks.

The Hokies won the first two sets of the match before Lindenwood gained a foothold in the match.

Game Notes
Camilla Brandalise registered 12 or more assists in each contest this weekend. She had 17 against the Lions.
Erica Dellesky had 16 assists, also her third consecutive match with 14 or more.
