The Hokies exploded for four runs in the bottom of the third. After Cori McMillan walked and stole second, Lynch stepped up again and delivered an RBI single up the middle to make it 2-0. Zoe Yaeger followed it up with an RBI triple and Kylie Aldridge sent her sixth home run of the season over the right field fence to make it 5-0 Tech through three innings.
Lemley gave up her first hit in the top of the fifth, but with runners on first and second and no outs, she got out of the jam with no Bruins crossing the plate.
