LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Six Hokies earned NFCA All-Region Mid-Atlantic honors on Thursday afternoon.
Michelle Chatfield, Emma Lemley and Cori McMillan were the Hokies’ three First Team honorees. Bre Peck was tabbed to the Second Team, and Kylie Aldridge and Zoe Yaeger earned Third Team honors.
Chatfield is second on the team with a .382 batting average and 15 home runs. The First Team All-ACC selection led the Hokies with a .427 average in conference play. She was named a two-time ACC Player of the Week for her stellar weekends against conference opponents Louisville and Cal.
Against the Cardinal, Chatfield hit four home runs with seven RBIs and a 1.727 slugging percentage to lead Tech to a series sweep. She also earned D1 Softball National Player of the Week honors. During Tech’s series win at Cal, Chatfield hit .700 with three home runs, with one being a grand slam, to earn her second ACC Player of the Week honor.
Lemley is having a historic season as she has thrown four no-hitters in her senior campaign. The three-time ACC Pitcher of the Week has a 2.74 ERA and leads the Hokies with 17 wins. The current Division I active leader in strikeouts (833) has thrown 180 strikeouts this year and held opponents to a .189 batting average. She has thrown 15 complete games and has nine solo shutouts on the season. Her four saves in 2025 puts her atop the Hokie record books as she is the career leader with 12 saves.
McMillan, the 2025 ACC Player of the Year, leads the country with 30 home runs. She became the first player in ACC history to hit 30 home runs and is one of 17 Division I players ever to hit 30 home runs in a single season. McMillan leads the team in batting average (.452), hits (71), home runs (30), slugging percentage (1.096), on base percentage (.566) and OPS (1.662). Her 0.58 home runs per game leads the nation and her 1.096 slugging percentage ranks second nationally. She was also just named as a USA Softball Player of the Year Top 10 Finalist.
Peck became the Hokies’ all-time home run leader (54) and RBI leader (180) in her senior season. She became just the third person in Hokie history to hit three home runs in a single game as she broke both program records in Tech’s win over Charlotte. The senior is batting .344 through 52 games and is second on the team with 53 RBIs. She also has 14 home runs this year and a .669 slugging percentage.
Aldridge is having the best season of her career in the batter’s box. Hitting .348 through 38 games, Aldridge has five home runs and 27 RBIs. Starting primarily in the designated player spot, she has been crucial in some of Tech’s biggest wins as she hit a home run in the Hokies’ 6-5 win over then-No. 16 Stanford. Her .348 batting average and 27 RBIs are career highs.
Yaeger has made 43 starts behind the plate and is hitting .328 on the season. She has nine home runs and 37 RBIs in her sophomore campaign and also earned All-ACC Third Team honors. The sophomore also has a .448 on base percentage. She recorded a season-high four RBIs in the Hokies’ 6-1 win over then-No. 23 Virginia and also went 2-for-4 with three RBIs in Tech’s 8-6 win over then-No. 9 Florida State.
