BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech women's basketball squad suffered a 105-74 loss to visiting Florida State Thursday night despite four Hokies scoring in doube figures. Tech falls to 9-4 and 0-2 in ACC play for the first time since the 2019-20 season.

FSU, who set a record for the most field goals (46) scored against the Hokies moves to 12-2 and 2-0.

Tech struggled with ball security all night, turning the ball over 24 times which led to 34 Seminole points. 

The Hokies were led by Rose Micheaux who recorded a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. She was joined in double figure scoring by Matilda Ekh (13), Carleigh Wenzel (12) and Lani White (10). As a team, Tech capitalized on opportunities from the free throw line, going 25-29 on the night.

Ta'Niya Latson, the nation's leading scorer finished with 40 points, the most that the Hokies have allowed by a single opponent in ACC history. She was 18-28 from the field and also contributed five assists and five steals.

Tech's next opportunity on the court comes at Miami Sunday afternoon for a contest at noon on ACC Network Extra.
