RALEIGH - The Virginia Tech women's basketball teams winning streak was halted at two games Sunday night as the Hokies fell to No. 20 NC State 85-57 at Reynolds Coliseum.

The Wolfpack jumped out to a 29-12 lead in the first quarter after shooting 76% and would not look bad as guard Aziah James led all scorers with 25 points.

For Tech, Carleigh Wenzel led the comeback effort scoring 18 points in the game and she was joined in double figures by Carys Baker who added 15 and also co-led the squad with five rebounds.

Freshman Leila Wells was a bright spot, playing 15 minutes and scoring a career-high six points. She also had three rebounds and two assists.

The Hokies are back on the court on Thursday, Jan. 30 against No. 3 Notre Dame in Cassell Coliseum. That game tips off at 6 p.m. and can be seen on ACC Network Extra.
