BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech volleyball team (7-10, 1-6 ACC) fell to North Carolina (14-2, 6-1 ACC) on Carilion Clinic Court Friday evening in the Dig Pink pt. 1 match.

GAME NOTES

  • Jordan Hallman led the Hokies with a .857 clip (6 K, 0 E, 7 TA) and five total blocks, her 15th match of the season with three or more total blocks.  
  • Jasmine Robinson boasted the match-high of six total blocks with five assists and one solo with five kills and one ace.
  • Ece Yildiz recorded her first career service ace, tacking on 15 receptions and three digs.
  • Leandra Mangual Duran secured double-digit digs and receptions for the fifth straight match, recording 13 receptions, 10 digs and three aces.
  • Hailey Pearce had a stellar outing with 14 kills and 12 perfect receptions with two block assists.
  • Viktoria Wahlgren recorded 27 assists with three block assists, one ace and nine digs.
  • Sarah Malinowski tacked on four block assists with four kills.
  • Tech totaled 32 kills, 30 assists, 32 digs, 20 total blocks and seven aces.
