Hokies lacrosse places 15 on IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

Tech also garners Academic Honor Squad recognition for the 2023-24 academic year

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Virginia Tech lacrosse placed 15 student-athletes on the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association’s 2024 Division I Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the organization on Wednesday.

The IWLCA honored 1,163 student-athletes from 113 different institutions on the 2024 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. 

Tech’s recipients include: Mackenzie Beam, Kayla Downey, Sydney Golini, Mary Griffin, Kacie Hanson, Lilly Kannapell, Gracie Kennedy, Elizabeth Labbe, Ainsley Malamala, Katie McCarthy, Emma Monte, Grace New, Bridget Noonan, Paige Tyson and Olivia Vergano.

The Hokies were also named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, a prestige for teams that have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
