BLACKSBURG – As previously announced in September of 2023, men’s basketball season tickets for the upcoming season have shifted to a new ticket membership model.
This means each membership purchased during the renewal process includes a guaranteed ticket and seat location in Cassell Coliseum for all 10 ACC home games, with the opportunity to order tickets to nonconference games at special member pricing ($5 per ticket, per game, $30 for SEC/ACC Challenge). All tickets ordered during the claim window(s) below will be in the same spot as ticket members’ seats for conference home games.

Pricing
All nonconference games can be claimed by ticket members at a discounted rate of $5 per ticket per game. This excludes the SEC/ACC Challenge against Vanderbilt which can be claimed for $30 per ticket. Again, non-ticket member tickets will be between $15 and $45, a significant savings for ticket members.
Seat locations
All claimed nonconference tickets will be assigned in the same seat location(s) as selected during the seat selection process earlier this spring for conference games.
Quantity
All tickets in a ticket member's account must be claimed or turned down for each nonconference game. For example, an account with four tickets wanting to claim tickets to the home opener must claim all four tickets for that game.
Maintaining the best atmosphere in the ACC
What makes Cassell Coliseum special is Hokie Nation. Cassell is at its best when attendance is maximized, and Tech fans can band together create a difficult place to play. Over the years there has been a consistent trend in nonconference attendance. Reviewing ticket scan data, on average less than 30% of season ticket holders would scan into nonconference games, while fans with single-game tickets attend at a rate of 90%+.
The new ticket membership program is geared toward maintaining the value of a traditional season ticket while also helping to ensure tickets for nonconference games get into the hands of those who plan to attend. Although this replaces the traditional season ticket package, priority point benefits remain the same.
Women’s Basketball Process
The process for Women’s Basketball season and single game tickets will be the same as previous years with all games being included in the season ticket package (no ticket claim necessary). Currently, a limited number of general admission women’s basketball season tickets are available for purchase and single-game tickets will be available later this fall.
