BLACKSBURG – Highlighted by 13 high school captains and five state championships as a class, Virginia Tech football head coach Brent Pry welcomed his third signing class to Blacksburg on Wednesday, as the Hokies introduced 15 signees and four transfers on National Signing Day.
 
Pry and his staff continue to focus on the Hokies' recruiting footprint, inking five in-state signees, all ranked within the top 25 in the Commonwealth per 247 Sports. Six of the 15 signees are from within a 325-mile radius of Blacksburg, including defensive lineman Deric Dandy and running back Tyler Mason, both from Mount Airy, North Carolina, along with defensive back Quentin Reddish from Charlotte, North Carolina.

The class represents seven states. In addition to Virginia, three signees hail from North Carolina, with two each from Maryland and Ohio and one each from Georgia, Florida and New Jersey.
 
On the offensive side of the ball, Tech welcomed seven signees, comprised of one quarterback, one running back, two wide receivers and three offensive linemen. Defensively, the Hokies signed eight players, featuring four defensive linemen, three defensive backs and a linebacker.

 
Among Tech's incoming transfers, the Hokies welcomed redshirt junior offensive lineman Montavious Cunningham (Georgia State), junior defensive tackle Kemari Copeland (Iowa Western Community College & Army), senior transfer defensive lineman Aeneas Peebles (Duke) and senior linebacker Sam Brumfield (Middle Tennessee).
 
Virginia Tech's 2024 National Signing Day class ranks sixth in the ACC according to On3 Sports and eighth per the 247 Sports Composite. Nationally, the Hokies' class has peaked at No. 36 among NCAA FBS programs, per On3 Sports.
