Hokies take flight to Las Vegas

2023 CKLV Brackets 2023 CKLV Schedule

LAS VEGAS, NV – Seven Virginia Tech wrestlers will be competing in the 41st Annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational at the Westgate Paradise Event Center starting on Friday afternoon and concluding on Saturday evening. Action begins on Friday at 12 p.m. EST through 9 p.m. EST with placement rounds on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. EST through 6 p.m. EST live on Flowrestling with a streaming subscription. Live results and brackets will also be available on FloArena.
 
Hokies in the Field
Six of the seven Tech entries are ranked ahead of this weekend's action – No. 28 Eddie Ventresca (125-pounds), No. 4 Caleb Henson (149-pounds), No. 5 Bryce Andonian (157-pounds), No. 20 Connor Brady (165-pounds), No. 18 Sam Fisher (184-pounds), and No. 20 Hunter Catka (285-pounds). Joining the ranked Hokies is freshman Sonny Sasso at 197-pounds to round out the Blacksburg-based contingent in Las Vegas.
 
CKLV Pre-Seeds
There will be a totally of 15 ranked teams in what is traditionally the toughest in-season tournament with the field consisting of over 150 ranked wrestlers across all ten weight classes. Six of the Hokies are pre-seeded with four in the top-10, Henson and Andonian leading the way as both No. 3 seeds and both Brady and Catka at No. 10.

Henson, Andonian look to continue hot streak
The back-to-back punch of Henson and Andonian look to continue their stellar start to the 2023-2024 season. The pair combine at 19-0 with 15 bonus point victories while outscoring opponents 229-48 and have only given up a collective 13 offensive points.
