THE SERIES WITH LOUISVILLE
•VT is 17-24 all-time vs. Louisville and 0-8 in ACC play.
•The Hokies are 10-9 all-time at Cassell Coliseum against the Cardinals.
•Coach Brooks is 0-7 against Louisville, coming close to upsetting the Cardinals on multiple occasions, including the last time these clubs met in Blacksburg in 2021. Tech trailed by a single basket with 10 seconds to play before ACC Player of the Year Dana Evans stole the ball and Louisville ended up with a four-point victory.

A WIN WOULD…
•Move the Hokies to 4-3 in ACC play.
•Mark Kenny Brooks' first victory over Louisville, the only ACC club that he has not earned a win against.

ASSESSING THE LOUISVILLE CARDINALS
•Louisville was picked to finish first in the ACC, one spot ahead of the Hokies.
•In the preseason AP Poll, Louisville was seventh, but received just a single vote this week.
•The Cards have arrived to this game 4-1 in league play after sweeping Pitt, defeating Syracuse and Georgia Tech and falling at Duke.
•The lone common opponent for the teams so far this season has been Longwood who played at Louisville before heading to Blacksburg in December.
