LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Following the 2023 season, 13 members of the Virginia Tech softball team have been named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes, the association announced Monday.

Kylie Aldridge, Jayme Bailey, Kelsey Brown, Grace Chavez, Addy Greene, Madison Hanson, Emma Lemley, Maija Louko, Morgan Overaitis, Jenna Pearson, Emma Ritter, Meredith Slaw and Teagan Thrunk earn All-America Scholar Athlete honors after finishing the 2022-23 school year with a 3.5 GPA or higher. As a team, the Hokies ended spring 2023 with a 3.38 GPA and add a 3.30 cumulative GPA.

Earlier this summer, a conference-high 16 Hokies were named to the All-ACC Academic Team. Four Hokies were also named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators in May, as Bailey, Brown, Lemley and Ritter earned the academic accolade.

The NFCA saw 8,297 collegiate student-athletes capture Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2022-23 academic year.

The Hokies add many talented newcomers and return several starters for the 2023-24 school year, which will begin building up to the spring this fall.
