BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech seniors Ali Jennings and Jaylin Lane have been named to the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, the award's committee announced Monday. The award is presented annually to college football's top receiver.

The award recipient is selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners, and other former receivers. The name Biletnikoff is synonymous with the term receiver. Fred Biletnikoff, a member of the Pro Football and College Football Halls of Fame, was a consensus All-America receiver at Florida State University and an All-Pro receiver for the Oakland Raiders.

Jennings (6-2, 198) led Old Dominion with 54 receptions for 959 yards and nine touchdowns during the 2022 season. His 106.6 receiving yards per game ranked third in the country.

The Richmond, Virginia native also registered five 100-yard receiving games and was named to the All-Sun Belt First Team. Earlier this summer, Jennings was named to the Athlon Sports preseason All-ACC first-team.

Lane (5-10, 180) tallied 69 receptions for 940 yards and five touchdowns last season at Middle Tennessee State.
He led the team with four 100-yard receiving games and was named Honorable Mention All-Conference USA.

The Clover, South Carolina product was also named to the Paul Hornung Award watch list, which recognizes the nation's most versatile player.

Tech hosts Old Dominion on Saturday, Sept. 2 at 8 p.m. ET to start their 2023 campaign. Fans can now purchase single-game tickets and choose their preferred seat locations for the season opener.
