BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech men's tennis lost at home to No. 15 Florida State on Friday afternoon.
Jordan Chrysostom and Ryan Fishback got back on track, coasting to a 6-2 victory on Court 1 followed by Matt Harper and Frank Thompson, 6-3, on Court 3 to put the Hokies ahead 1-0.
Tech struggled to continue the momentum in singles falling behind 2-1 before Scott Sculley picked up his first ranked win of the season, 6-3, 6-3, against No. 123 Jamie Connel to tie the score. Alberto Orso and Manuel Goncalves both put up strong efforts in their respective three-set matches but came up short.
