Weymouth, Mass. – Virginia Tech men's tennis (8-11, 2-6) snapped a six-match losing streak defeating Boston College, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon.

It seemed as though the Hokies were going to cruise to a doubles point claiming three game leads on Courts 1 and 3. Matt Harper and Frank Thompson never looked back in their match winning handily, 6-1. Ryan Fishback and Jordan Chrysostom had more of a challenge on Court 1 and were unable to hold on, losing 7-6 to concede the doubles point.

Tech began to find their stride in singles behind a straight set victory from Hugo Maia, 6-0, 6-2, to put the Hokies on the board. Alex Ix followed suit with a straight set victory of his own 6-3, 7-6, giving Tech the lead.

Jordan Chrysostom put the Hokies within reach after holding on in three-set battle to claim his first ACC singles win of the season, 6-1, 6-7, 6-3. Fishback completed the comeback for Hokies, climbing back after losing the first set to win. Frank Thompson finished the match out strong with a 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 victory.
