BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up their regular indoor season on Saturday hosting the Virginia Tech Challenge, as Victoria Gorlova moved into the NCAA top 16 in the women's triple jump. Results
Gorlova jumped a season-best 43' 5" (13.23m) in the second round of the event. She is currently ranked 14th in the NCAA, and second in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Blanco Molualisi won the men's triple with a personal-best distance of 50' 0.75" (15.26m), ranking seventh in the ACC.
In the men's high jump, Elijah Bell and Clay Eckert placed first and second for the Hokies. Bell claimed first clearing a height of 6' 7" (2.01m), Eckert cleared a personal-best height of 5' 11.75" (1.81m).
Throws
Senior Tyson Jones holds the third-best mark in the ACC men's shot put event with a personal-best mark of 61' 5.75" (18.74m). Katrin Brzyszkowska won the women's shot putting a distance of 51' 10" (15.80m).
Pole Vault
Marley McCall placed third in the unseeded pole vault clearing a season-best height of 11' 9.75" (3.60m). Lucy Brookover placed fourth with a personal-best height of 11' 9.75" (3.60m).
Running Events
Senior Michael Zedan clocked a season-best time of 8:19.43 in the men's 3000-meters, finishing second. Amir Green placed second in the men's 200m clocking a time of 21.92, while Sydney Beverly clocked a personal-best time of 26.21 in the women's event.

Virginia Tech heads into the championship season as the defending men's and women's indoor conference champions. The Hokies will travel to Louisville, Ky.
