HEADLINES FROM LAST WEEK
 
Women's basketball's Elizabeth Kitley earned ACC Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, after breaking the program's record for most field goals made.

Men's basketball got back on track on Monday, defeating Duke 78-75. Freshman MJ Collins hit a jumper with 13 seconds to go to lift Tech to victory, while graduate student Grant Basile paced the Hokies in scoring with a 24-point performance.

Women's track & field continues to dominate and earns recognition nationwide, earning a top-10 ranking in the first installment of rankings by the U.S. Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association.
 
After his upset victory and dual clinching win against then-No. 5 NC State, redshirt sophomore Andy Smith was named ACC Wrestler of the Week on Tuesday.
 
Two Hokies were named to the USA Softball Top 50 Watch List for 2023 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, the organization announced Wednesday morning. Emma Lemley and Emma Ritter earn their spot on the list for the first time in their respective careers.
 
Tech joins 10 of men's college soccer's premier programs and will meet at Spry Stadium on Sunday, April 10 as Wake Forest University will host the 2023 Spring Soccer Cup.
 
Four Hokies were named to the Softball Preseason All-ACC Team, the conference announced on Thursday afternoon. Cameron Fagan, Emma Lemley, Emma Ritter and Meredith Slaw all land a spot on the team in their respective positions.

Senior Antonio Lopez Segura received U.S Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors on Thursday, announced the association. 
 
Football announced on Friday that the 2023 spring game, presented by PMSI, will take place on Saturday, April 15. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. ET in Lane Stadium.
 
Women's tennis started the 2022-23 season with a bang sweeping Queens 7-0 Friday afternoon inside Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
 
On the flip side, men's tennis traveled to Norfolk, Virginia on Friday and secured a 4-2 road victory over ODU, moving to 3-0 for the first time since 2014-15.

Football head coach Brent Pry announced Saturday the team has added seven transfers, including wide receiver Ali Jennings and quarterback Kyron Drones.
 
Track & field traveled to Louisville on Friday to compete in the Lenny Lyles Invitational, walking out with three facility records. Freshman Kenna Stimmel claimed her first collegiate victory after clearing a personal-best height of 14 feet, 4.5 inches (4.38 meters) in the women's pole vault.
 
Men's basketball earned its second consecutive ACC win in an 85-70 rout of the Syracuse Orange in Cassell Coliseum on Saturday night.
 
Women's tennis improved to 3-0 after coming from behind to notch a 4-2 win against ETSU Sunday morning at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
 
The Hokies ended the weekend off strong with women's basketball earning a 72-60 win over Virginia Sunday night, in the latest edition of the Commonwealth Clash, presented by Smithfield.
