HOKIES
After sweeping the opening weekend inside the Burrow-Burleson Tennis Center, the Hokies earned a 2-0 mark for the first time since the 2018-19 season. Ryan Fishback and Frank Thompson both shined in singles going undefeated with Thompson cruising to victories in straight sets, while Fishback battled for a couple of three-set wins on court one. Tech's top doubles pairing -- No. 13 Jordan Chrysostom and Ryan Fishback -- looked to be picking up right where they left off jumping out to an early 4-0 lead before the match was called after the Hokies claimed the doubles point.
MONARCHS
Old Dominion enters this weekend at 3-1 record after splitting a pair of matches in Philadelphia last weekend. The Monarchs cruised past Drexel in a 6-1 win that featured Codie van Schalkwyk picking up a 6-4, 6-3 win on court one to give him a team-high 3-1 singles record. Despite a tough 1-6 outing against Penn, Old Dominion's Cosme Rolland De Ravel earned the first ranked singles victory of the season for the Monarchs defeating No. 102 Harsh Parikh in straight sets.
BADGERS
Wisconsin opened their season on a high note claiming wins against DePaul and Princeton at home last weekend. Junior Mihailo Popovic set the standard against DePaul, sweeping his competition, Aleksa Krivokapic, 6-0, 6-0, in the No. 2 singles match. Wisconsin's Gabriel Huber closed the match in a thrilling third-set tiebreaker, winning 6-4, 2-6 (10-3). Princeton gave Wisconsin all they could handle but Popovic came through again winning a decisive third-set tiebreak to push Wisconsin to a 4-3 victory.
