BLACKSBURG – With the NCAA track & field season complete, several current student athletes and Virginia Tech alumni are geared up for competition at their national meetings.
At this week's USATF Championships, nine current and former Hokies will compete among the top Americans in their respective events. The three-day national championship meet will be held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. from June 23 to June 26. Action will be broadcast live on the NBC family of networks for the duration of the meet, with individual event streams available on Peacock and USATF TV+.
Across the pond in Manchester, England, Neil Gourley eyes a British title in the 1500m at the Müller UK Athletics Championships, held at the Manchester Regional Arena from June 24 to 26.
At both the USATF Championships and the UK Athletics Championships, athletes will compete not only for national titles but for berths to the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene.
