Tech wraps up men’s competition with five All-Americans, three Honorable Mentions

EUGENE, Ore. – As men's action at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Championships came to a close on Friday, the Hokies walked away with five athletes earning All-American honors and two three taking Honorable Mention status.
 
Chauncey Chambers finished the championships for Tech in the triple jump, as the Springfield, Va. native leaped to 15.82m (51' 11") in the competition. Chambers' mark saw him finish in 17th and take home Honorable Mention All-American honors.
 
When the dust settled at Hayward Field, here's how the Hokies' awards shook out on the men's side:

One final day of competition remains in the NCAA Outdoor season, as the women's championships will be decided on Saturday. Essence Henderson will represent Tech in the discus at 5:05 PM ET, as the winner of the East Prelims goes for national glory.
