THE SERIES
- Tech has prevailed in the previous three meetings, including last season's lone encounter - a 66-60 victory by the Hokies in Blacksburg.
- Over the last eight games in the Clemson series, Tech has posted a 7-1 record.
- The Hokies are 13-11 against the Tigers as ACC foes and 22-16 overall.
- Tech has a 7-10 record at Clemson and has won two of the last three on the road in the series.

- Saturday marks the only regular-season meeting between the Hokies and the Tigers this season.
A WIN WOULD...
- Mark the Hokies' 10th win in their last 11 outings.
- Keep Coach Young unbeaten against Clemson as head coach of the Hokies (3-0).
- Improve Tech to 8-5 on the road this season and secure its fifth straight ACC road win - extending the program record.
- Give Tech a shot at the No. 6 seed for next week's ACC tournament, only if Virginia loses at Louisville on Saturday.
HOKIE HEADLINES
- The Hokies are 9-1 in their last 10 games, making a strong case that they are playing their best basketball at the right time.
- Justyn Mutts tallied his third double-double of the season vs. Louisville (14 points, 10 rebounds).
- The 43 points yielded to the Cardinals were the fewest by a Tech opponent since Feb. 2, 2019 (24 at NC State). It was also the largest margin of victory (32) vs. an ACC foe since Feb. 27, 2021 vs. Wake Forest (38).
- Mutts was named the Skip Prosser Award winner on Wednesday, becoming the program's first to ever win the honor given to the Scholar-Athlete of the Year in ACC men's basketball.
MONSTER MUTTS
- Justyn Mutts recorded his third double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds, although it was his rim-rocking dunk (assisted by Storm Murphy) that caught headlines.
- Mutts also dished out six assists, marking the seventh time that he has had five or more assists in a game this season.
- With his six assists last night, Mutts became the first Virginia Tech player since Wabissa Bede to have back-to-back games with six or more assists (1/28/20 and 2/1/20).
UP NEXT
- The 2022 New York Life ACC Men's Basketball Tournament begins Tuesday, March 8 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Tech will either be the No. 6 seed or the No. 7 seed, which begins play in the second round on Wednesday at 7 and 9:30 p.m., respectively.
