Three school records broken on second day of NCAA's

ATLANTA – Virginia Tech wraps up day two of competition in Atlanta. Carles Coll Marti set the tempo in the 200 IM prelims. He finished 5th, breaking the school record with a time of 1:40.45. Later, in the finals, he earned 4th overall, earning All American Honors. He touched the wall at 1:39.63 to set a new school record, again. 
 
In a fast 50 free prelims, Youssef Ramadan rose above the competition. He finished 5th with a time of 18.79, a new school record. He finished 7th in the final, earning his second All-American Honors in that event.
 
The 200 free relay with Ramadan, Coll Marti, Antani Ivanov, and Luis Dominguez smashed the school record as they placed 10th with a time of 1:15.99, earning All American Honorable Mention.
 
Following day two of competition, the Hokies remain in 10th with 69 total points.

TOMORROW
Filippo Dal Maso will begin the day for Virginia Tech, swimming in the 400 IM. The second event will be stacked with Hokies as Ramadan, Ivanov, and Mario Molla Yanes compete in the 100 fly. Molla Yanes will have a quick turnaround as he races in the third event, the 200 free, joined by Coll Marti. Next, AJ Pouch will compete in the 100 breast. To finish the individual competition, Forest Webb and Sam Tornqvist will race in the 100 back. On the boards, Noah Zawadzki will compete in the 3M prelims.
