BLACKSBURG -- The Virginia Tech lacrosse team (6-3, 2-1) will travel to Paladin Stadium to take on Furman (0-2, 0-0) Tuesday, March 15 at 6 p.m. The game will be shown on ESPN+.
Last Saturday the Hokies defeated Winthrop 17-5 in Blacksburg to earn their first win against the Eagles in program history. Eight different Tech athletes scored goals including Olivia Vergano and Paige Tyson who each scored four times, and sophomore Whitney Liebler who scored seven points (2G, 5A).
Morgan Berman secured the win in goal making four saves through three quarters before Lilly Kannapell closed out the game.
Freshman Blair Guy scored the first goal of her career in the fourth quarter.
Sarah Lubnow sits just two assists shy (66) of tying the program record of 68 set by Kady McBrearty (2005-08).
