BLACKSBURG – After earning its third-consecutive win on Saturday in Pittsburgh, Pa., Virginia Tech returns to Cassell Coliseum on Monday for its second matchup with Pitt in three days. It also kicks off a four-game homestand for the Hokies, who do not have another road game until Feb. 23.

- Virginia Tech has a 10-8 edge in the all-time series against Pitt.
- The Hokies have won six of the last seven matchups, including Saturday's 76-71 road win in the Steel City.
- The first game of the series was played on Dec. 4, 1964 in Pittsburgh - a 74-69 win for the Panthers.
- Tech is 6-1 against Pitt at home and has won four straight inside Cassell Coliseum.

HOKIE HEADLINES
- Storm Murphy has come on strong as of late, producing 38 points in the last two games combined.
- The Middleton, Wis., native scored his 1,500th point at Pitt, while finishing with a season-high 20 points.
- He's shooting 65 percent (13-20) from the floor, including 58.3 percent (7-12) from beyond the arc in the past two games.
- The Hokies have shot at least 50 percent in four straight games - first time that's happened since the end of the 2016-17 season. Since moving to the ACC, the Hokies have never shot at least 50 percent in five straight games.
- Tech is shooting 41.7 percent from three this season, which is on pace to break the school record of 40.3 set in the 2016-17 season.
- Monday's game vs. Pitt is the first of four straight home games for the Hokies.
FIRST-HALF FRENZY
- Tech connected on 18 of 24 field goals (75 percent) in the first half at Pitt. It was the Hokies' highest field-goal percentage in one half against an ACC opponent in program history.
- At one point, Tech connected on 13 straight field goals.
ALUMA, MUTTS MAKE HISTORY
- When Keve Aluma and Justyn Mutts both reached 1,000 career points in the same game (Feb. 2 vs. Georgia Tech), it marked the first time a pair of teammates accomplished that feat at the Division I level since Mississippi State's Aric Holman and Lamar Peters both hit 1,000 career points in the same game against Texas A&M on March 9, 2019.
