BLACKSBURG -- The Virginia Tech women's basketball team (15-5, 7-2) returns to the court on Thursday evening when they take on No. 20 Notre Dame (17-4, 8-2).
The Hokies enjoyed an open date this past weekend and last played at rival Virginia, earning a 71-42 victory to sweep the season series for the first time since 2015-16. In that contest Georgia Amoore led all scorers with 21 points and Aisha Sheppard added 20 including five 3-point field goals.
Notre Dame defeated league leaders NC State 69-66 Tuesday evening.
