ATLANTA – The Hokies kicked off night three with a record breaking 200 medley relay on the men's side. The relay with Blake Manoff, Carles Coll Marti, Antani Ivanov, and Youssef Ramadan earned a silver medal with a time of 1:22.82, breaking the Virginia Tech school record.
Youssef Ramadan and Antani Ivanov made quite the statement in the 100 fly final. They earned gold and silver with seven-tenths of second between them, making the NCAA A Cut. Ramadan didn't just break one record, he smashed the meet, conference, and Virginia Tech school record. Ramadan now holds the third fastest time in NCAA history and is the fourth fastest performer of all time.
Filippo Dal Maso got a silver medal in the 400 IM final. He had an incredible surge in the last 50 yards to finish with a personal best and the second fastest time in school history. Reka Gyorgy earned fifth, in the same event, with a season best 4:09.20.
The last medal of the night went to Emma Atkinson in the 200 free. She earned a silver medal after swimming a personal best with a time of 1:44.32. Luis Dominguez won the B final with a time of 1:33.58, his personal best and the second fastest time in school history.
