Opens in a new window VIRGINIA TECH GAME NOTES

BLACKSBURG -- The Virginia Tech women's basketball team (7-3) is back home on Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum Sunday afternoon in a New River Valley showdown against 4-4 Radford.

Tech is coming off a 59-40 loss at Liberty Tuesday night, as they look to begin a new streak at home. Their 63-game home winning streak against non-conference opposition was snapped last week at the hands of the No. 11 Tennessee Volunteers.

In the Liberty game, Aisha Sheppard led all scorers with 17 points and passed Jenny Root (Price) for fifth all-time in scoring at Virginia Tech.

Center Elizbeth Kitley is poised to become the 29th player in program history to record 1,000 career points. She stands at 998.
