BLACKSBURG – Coming a nonconference series win against Toledo last weekend, Virginia Tech baseball will face Duke this weekend at Jack Coombs Field with Games 1 and 3 being broadcast on ACC Network Extra and Game 2 on RSN.
The Hokies (27-17, 16-14 ACC) and Blue Devils (21-20, 10-17) will meet for the first time since April 14, 2019. Duke leads the all-time series 27-18 and the series is tied in Durham.

Tech is coming off a big series sweep against Toledo last weekend. The Hokies won Game 1 7-1 behind Peyton Alford's (2-4) eight strikeout showing. Anthony Simonelli (5-1) shined for Tech in Game 2. Nick Biddison secured the walk-off win in Game 2 to take the series. The Hokies' offense came to life on Sunday winning Game 3 16-5.
PLAYER TO WATCH
Graham Firoved continues to be a late inning threat for the Hokies. The sophomore has tossed 34 strikeouts in 19 innings this season. He has only allowed 10 hits this season and five earned runs giving him a 2.37 ERA.
