BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech lacrosse team is back on the field on Saturday, April 24 for a contest at No. 8 Virginia. The game will start at 5 p.m. and will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
Tech's last outing came at No. 6 Notre Dame, a game that the Irish won 15-10. Paige Petty led the Hokies' attack scoring four goals while Whitney Liebler and Emma Crooks each added two. Senior Sarah Lubnow scored once and recorded the 50th assist of her career in the game.
Defensively, Kendall Welch caused a career-high five turnovers against Notre Dame and she picked up three ground balls.

Tech is in search of its first ACC victory of the season and another ranked win heading into the conference tournament next week.
•Paige Petty's 200th career goal
The career leader in goals already, Petty can reach the 200-goal plateau with a hat trick against the Cavaliers. This season she has six games of three or more goals and of her career that number is 27.
•Paige Petty's 228th career point
Standing in third all-time with 220, Petty could reach the summit with a big game at Virginia Saturday. She has scored eight or more points in a game twice in her career, both against non-conference opposition.
