Virginia on deck for No. 19/16 Hokies

Game Notes

BLACKSBURG – Playing its in-state rival for the second time in the past week, the No. 19/16 Virginia Tech softball team will hit the road and play at Virginia on Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET on ACC Network Extra at Palmer Park.

Tech has won 11 consecutive games against UVA, dating back to March 5, 2017, and leads the all-time series 47-22. It won last week 7-0 at Tech Softball Park.

In the Pete D'Amour era (last three seasons), the Hokies are 7-0 versus the Cavaliers and actually have yet to allow a run, outscoring the Wahoos 37-0.

And, to take it one step further, a Cavalier has yet to reach it to third base (!) in the 7 games. So be on the lookout to see if that streak stays.
