GREENSBORO, N.C. – Following her week of recording four shutouts, Virginia Tech softball pitcher Keely Rochard was named ACC Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday, as announced by the league office.
The Williamsburg, Virginia native earns the honor for the second time this season and the eighth time of her storied career.
Rochard (15-2, 0.84 ERA) had quite the week, racking up 46 strikeouts and owning four shutouts versus Virginia and Louisville, while only surrendering two runs, nine hits and four walks in 27.0 innings of work.
This season, Rochard has also been named NFCA National Pitcher of the Week two times.
