Ivanov earns All-American in 100 Fly

GREENSBORO Antani Ivanov earned an All-American honor in the 100 butterfly on Friday night at the 2021 Men's NCAA Championships in Greensboro.
 
Ivanov swam a time of 44.67 placing sixth overall in the competition. Ivanov swam a smashing time of 44.54 in the preliminary race placing second and earning him a spot in the A finals.
 
The 200 medley relay team finished off the night with a school record and an Honorable Mention All-American honor. The team of Forest Webb, Carles Coll Marti, Ivanov and Thomas Hallock swam a time of 1:23.89, beating their previous set record by just .02. The team placed 13th overall in the event.
 
Competition will resume Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with prelims in the 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke and 200 butterfly. The 400 freestyle relay will take place during the final secession of the meet at 6 p.m.
