GREENSBORO – The No. 10 Virginia Tech men's swim and dive team earned three All-American Honors in the second day of competition in the 2021 Men's NCAA Championships in Greensboro on Thursday evening.
Competition began with a 12th place finish by the 200 freestyle relay team. The team of Youssef Ramadan, Thomas Hallock, David Herbert and Blake Manoff swam a time of 1:16.72 earning Honorable Mention All-American. Ramadan swam a lead-off time of 18.95 in the 50 freestyle, beating his previous set school record of 19.15.
Ramadan earned an All-American Honor in the 50 freestyle finals placing eighth overall with a time of 19.45.
The Hokies closed out competition with a new school record in the 400 medley relay. The team of Forest Webb, AJ Pouch, Antani Ivanov and Manoff swam a time of 3:05.28, placing 16th overall in the event earning Honorable Mention All-American.
Competition will resume Friday morning at 10 AM with the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast and 100 back.
