Rochard picks up NFCA National Pitcher of the Week again

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – For the second time this season, Virginia Tech softball's Keely Rochard has been named NFCA National Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

Rochard (11-1) had quite the week, and really, weekend, with not pitching in the Hokies' (15-4, 10-4 ACC) midweek games, racking up 46 strikeouts and throwing three one-hitters against Pitt (9-14, 4-9) and went a perfect 3-0 on the weekend, while only surrendering three walks in 18.0 innings of work.

The righty also won the award back on Feb. 23, following her outings against, now, two ranked foes (Clemson, Florida State).

Rochard earned the honor on March 3 of last season and then she earned it twice in 2019, giving her five times she's accomplished the feat.

Tech will be in action on Wednesday at Tech Softball Park at 4 p.m. ET on ACC Network against in-state rival Virginia (8-15, 4-13).
