BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech wrestling travels to Columbus this weekend for their first road dual of the season against third-ranked Ohio State. The top-11 matchup is set for 12 p.m. eastern time on Sunday and can be seen on the Big Ten Network with live stats on track wrestling.

Hokies Visit Ohio State for First Road Test
• Sunday is the sixteenth meeting between the Hokies and Buckeyes. Ohio State has won 13 of the previous 15 matchups.
• This is the first dual between the teams since 2014 when Ohio State defeated Tech 23-16 in Columbus.
• Tech faces its third ranked opponent of the season in No. 3 Ohio State. The Hokies have defeated No. 9 Missouri and No. 21 Northwestern to begin the year.
• Sunday is Tech's last dual until late December. The Hokies will travel to two tournaments, including the Cliff Keen Invite before a home dual vs. Chattanooga.

• Virginia Tech has five wrestlers ranked in this week's Intermat rankings. Ohio State has eight.
• Sunday will feature three ranked matchups, including No. 18 Mitch Moore against No. 1 Luke Pletcher at 141 pounds.

Homecoming for Moore Brothers
• Tech brothers Brent and Mitch Moore return to their home state of Ohio.
• The two hail from St. Paris, a little more than an hour from Ohio State.
• Mitch is 2-0 this season and scheduled to face off with No. 1 Luke Pletcher. Both of Moore's wins this season are by fall, including one in just 26 seconds against Missouri's Alex Butler.
• Brent is 0-2 but held No. 2 Brock Mauller to a decision in Virginia Tech's 29-10 win over Missouri in the season opener.
Mat on the Mound a Huge Success
• Virginia Tech's defeat of No. 21 Northwestern at English Field at Atlantic Union Bank Park Sunday was received well by Hokie fans.
• Over 2,900 fans packed the park and watched Tech pull off another top-25 victory.
• Mitch Moore pinned Northwestern's Jack Tolin, while David McFadden, Hunter Bolen and John Borst all won by major decision.
• Borst defeated Northwestern's Jack Heyob 9-0 to clinch the 21-18 victory for the Hokies.
