Twenty Tech alumns on active NFL rosters, ready for training camp

BLACKSBURG – The waiting is the hardest part!

We're only a month away from the opening of training camps around the National Football League and the Hokies will be represented from coast to coast. Fortunately for football fans, several camps with Tech alums on their rosters are within driving distance of Hokie Nation. Fans are encouraged to check training camp schedules on official team websites. The Redskins feature three former Tech players on their roster (CB Adonis Alexander, DT Tim Settle and CB Greg Stroman) in addition to a pair on their coaching staff (Chad Grimm and Kyshoen Jarrett). Washington begins practice at the Bon Secours Training Center in Richmond on July 25. Chuck Clark and the Baltimore Ravens also open their camp on July 25 at their team facility in Ownings Mills, Md. Fans can watch Trey and Terrell Edmunds and the Steelers at St. Vincent's College in Latrobe, Pa. beginning on July 26.

NUGGETS & NOTES
• Seattle Pro Bowl offensive tackle is the elder statesman of Tech's NFL playing contigent, entering his 12th pro campaign in 2019. Meanwhile, Ricky Walker (Dallas) and Yosuah Nijman (Green Bay) will be seeking to crack NFL rosters as rookie free agents.

• Chicago CB Kyle Fuller is coming off a Pro Bowl campaign after tying for the NFL lead with seven INTs and 21 passes defensed. The youngest Fuller, Chiefs CB Kendall Fuller, reached the AFC Championship Game a year ago and along with the Bears are favored by many NFL pundits to win their respective divisions in 2019. The younger Fuller also made an off-season number change to No. 29 for the Chiefs.

• RB Trey Edmunds and S Terrell Edmunds both enter camp on Pittsburgh's roster. Terrell played 966 defensive snaps in 2018 to rank second on the squad, while also being on the field for 223 special teams plays. LB Tremaine Edmunds, racked up 111 total tackles (70 solo) as a rookie in 2018 and became the youngest player in NFL history to record an interception. G Wyatt Teller started the final seven games of the 2018 campaign for the Bills.

• While no longer an active player, you'll see plenty of DeAngelo Hall who begins work as an analyst for NFL Network in July. Read More • QB Tyrod Taylor also made an off-season move to the West Coast, signing a two-year deal with the L.A. Chargers.
