BLACKSBURG – With the ACC Outdoor Championships only three weeks away, the Virginia Tech track and field teams will split up for three meets, starting on Thursday with the Penn Relays and going through Saturday.
The Hokies' sprints/hurdles and distance runners will compete in one of the most elite meets in the country this weekend, as they travel to the 125th annual Penn Relays held at Franklin Field House in Philadelphia. Additionally, the jumps/multi-events and pole vault groups will head to Louisville, Kentucky for the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invite, while the throws group will travel to Charlottesville, Virginia for the UVA Grand Prix.
The Penn Relays will be streamed live Thursday through Saturday via USATF.TV +PLUS. You can subscribe to a membership, which costs money, here.
Tickets for the Penn Relays can be purchased here. Tickets start at $20 on Thursday and Friday, and Saturday's tickets start at $32.

The Hokies are coming off another strong weekend, as they tallied seven first-place finishes at the War Eagle and Duke Invitationals. The distance runners especially stood out, as they swept three events. Fitsum Seyoum and Sarah Edwards swept the 3,000-meter steeplechase, while Jack Joyce and Lauren Berman swept the 1,500 and Bashir Mosavel-Lo and Rachel Pocratsky both got it done in the 800. Jacory Patterson earned a title for the sprints group with his time of 46.09 seconds in the 400-meter dash.
The Hokies have six student-athletes who have times and marks that rank in the top 25 nationally. Pavla Kuklova ranks 16th in the hammer throw, while Eszter Bajnok is 18th in the triple jump, Pocratsky is 13th in the 800, and Rachel Baxter owns the No. 5 mark in the pole vault.
On the men's side, Deakin Volz is tied for 17th in the pole vault, while Patterson has the 23rd-best time in the 200 and owns the sixth-fastest time in the 400.
