Last Friday, the USTFCCCA announced its region award winners and director of track and field and cross country Dave Cianelli was named the Southeast Region's Men's Coach of the Year.

The last time out, six Hokies took gold at the ACCs at Rector Field House, including five NCAA qualifiers in Baxter, Pocratsky, Edwards, Patterson and Volz. The men tallied 117 points, which made it three-straight years in which the men reached the 100-point plateau for indoor, while the women scored 84, which was the most since they won the indoor championships in 2008.
