Hokies to compete in Furman Intercollegiate

The Virginia Tech men's golf team heads to the Upstate of South Carolina to compete in the Furman Intercollegiate. The three-day tournament will be played at the Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, South Carolina.

FURMAN INTERCOLLEGIATE
The 20-team field will play the par 72, 6,994-yard Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, South Carolina. Now in its 50th year, the Furman Intercollegiate is one of the largest fields in collegiate golf. The Hokies are the only ACC team in the field. Tech has won the event six times since 2001, including three consecutive years from 2001-03.
 
Play will consist of 18 holes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, beginning on March 22. There will be a practice round on Thursday, March 21.

The five players competing this week for the Hokies are:
 
Connor Burgess, sophomore, Lynchburg, Virginia; Connor Johnson Jr., freshman, Richmond, Virginia, Slade Pickering,freshman, North West, South Africa, Bradley de Beer, freshman, Western Cape, South Africa and Tom Crow, junior, Virginia Beach, Virginia.
 
Drew Brockwell, freshman, Chesterfield, Virginia, Joey Jordan, senior, Richmond, Virginia and Cameron Moore, freshman, Richmond, Virginia will be playing the event as individuals.
