BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech men's basketball team returns to Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum on Saturday night, as it hosts Syracuse. The game will tip-off at 8 p.m. and will be shown on ESPN.

In the win over Notre Dame, Justin Robinson moved past Jamon Gordon into third place in career assists at Virginia Tech … He and Gordon, along with Bimbo Coles and Malcolm Delaney, are the only Virginia Tech players with 500 career assists … He now has 540 career assists and trails Delaney by three assists for second place and Coles by seven assists for first place on the all-time list … Robinson averages 4.5 assists per game in his career and is averaging 5.4 assists per game this season … He is second in the ACC in assists this season and is first among active ACC players in career assists.
 
KJ Doubles
Kerry Blackshear Jr., had his best-ever collegiate game at North Carolina … KJ had 19 points and a career-high 17 rebounds in the loss, including 10 offensive rebounds … In the win over Central Connecticut State, he recorded his first double-double of the season, with 12 points and 13 rebounds … It was the first for the Hokies this season and the first by any Hokie since Justin Robinson had 10 points and 12 assists at Boston College on Jan. 31, 2018 … He had his second double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds at Georgia Tech.

Kerry Blackshear Jr., had 17 rebounds at North Carolina on Jan. 21 ... That is the third-highest rebounds in an ACC regular season game in school history … Jeff Allen had 19 rebounds at Boston College on Feb. 5, 2011 and Coleman Collins had 18 rebounds in a win over Duke on Feb. 17, 2005 in Cassell Coliseum … The 17 rebounds marks the first time a Hokie has had more than 15 rebounds in an ACC game in more than five years.
