Edmunds, Steelers set for Thursday night matchup vs. Panthers

Here's a preview of all of this weekend's games featuring Virginia Tech alums, plus a recap of last weekend's top performances
 
Thursday, November 8
 
Carolina at Pittsburgh – 8:20 pm ET
S Terrell Edmunds and the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football. The Panthers are 6-2 after a 42-28 win against the Buccaneers, while Edmunds had four tackles and one pass defended in the Steelers' 23-16 win against the Ravens to move into the AFC North lead with a 5-2-1 record.
 
Edmunds has tallied 30 tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery in his rookie season. TE Bucky Hodges and RB Trey Edmunds are members of the Steelers practice squad.
 
Don't be surprised to see Hodges and the Edmunds brothers on the Virginia Tech sideline when the Hokies visit Heinz Field on Saturday.

 
Sunday, November 11
 
Detroit at Chicago – 1:00 pm ET
CB Kyle Fuller and the Chicago Bears NFC North rival Detroit Lions. The Bears are 5-3 and are coming off a 41-9 win at Buffalo, while Lions are 3-5 and are coming off a 24-9 loss to the Vikings. Fuller had three tackles, three passes defended and one interception against the Bills. On the season, Fuller has amassed 26 tackles, nine passes defended and is tied for a league-leading four interceptions.

Arizona at Kansas City – 1:00 pm ET
CB Kendall Fuller and the Kansas City Chiefs host the Arizona Cardinals. The Chiefs are 8-1 after defeating the Browns 37-21, while the Cardinals are 2-6 coming off of their bye week. Last week, Fuller prevented Cleveland from converting on a pair of two-point conversion tries.
 
Fuller had two tackles, one pass defended in the win, which brings his season total to 45 tackles, six passes defended and one interception.

Buffalo at N.Y. Jets – 1:00 pm ET
LB Tremaine Edmunds, G Wyatt Teller, TE Logan Thomas and the Buffalo Bills travel east to face the N.Y. Jets. The Bills (2-7) are coming off a 41-9 loss against the Bears, while the Jets (3-6) are coming off a 13-6 loss to the Dolphins.
 
Thomas had a team leading and career- high seven receptions for 40 yards, while Teller saw 17 snaps at guard in the contest. Edmunds did not see action on the day as he was suffering from a concussion. The Bills released WR Cam Phillips earlier this week.

Washington at Tampa Bay – 1:00 pm ET
CB Greg Stroman, DT Tim Settle, CB Adonis Alexander and the Washington Redskins travel to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers. The Redskins are 5-3 after falling 28-14 to the Falcons. Stroman had four kickoff returns for 76 yards, while Settle saw several snaps at nose tackle, but recorded no stats. Alexander did not see action in the contest.
 
L.A. Chargers at Raiders – 4:05 pm ET
CB Brandon Facyson and the L.A. Chargers take on AFC West rival Oakland Raiders. The Chargers are 6-2 after defeating the Seahawks 25-17. Facyson 13 snaps at cornerback, but did not record any stats on the day.
 
Miami at Green Bay – 4:25 pm ET
The Miami Dolphins travel to Green Bay to face the Packers. The Dolphins defeated the Jets last week 13-6 to get to 5-4 on the season. WR Isaiah Ford is a member of the Dolphins' practice squad.
 
Seattle at L.A. Rams – 4:25 pm ET
Pro Bowl T Duane Brown and the Seattle Seahawks face NFC West Rival L.A. Rams. The Seahawks are 4-4 after falling to the Chargers 25-17 and are facing the 8-1 Rams who are coming off their first loss of the season against the Saints. Former Hokie Nick Sorensen serves as the secondary coach for Seattle.
 
Atlanta at Cleveland – 1:00 pm ET
QB Tyrod Taylor and the Cleveland Browns host the Atlanta Falcons. The Browns (2-6-1) are coming off a 37-21 loss to the Chiefs, while the Falcons (4-4) are coming off a 38-14 win against the Redskins. Taylor took three snaps for the Browns and completed an 11-yard pass.

Monday, November 12
 
N.Y. Giants at 49ers – 8:15 pm ET
S Antone Exum, Jr. and the San Francisco 49ers host the N.Y. Giants on Monday Night Football. Exum, Jr. did not see action in the 49ers (2-7) 34-3 win against the Raiders.
