CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Virginia Tech women's tennis team defeated Louisville 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon to advance past the second round at the 2018 ACC Women's Tennis Championship in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Tech claimed the doubles match on court one as Caroline Daxhelet and Natalie Novotna paired up to defeat No. 46 Abbie Pahz and Mariana Humberg 6-4. The Cardinals claimed the match on court three, leaving the deciding match at two.
Tech's freshmen pair of Nika Kozar and Nina Sorkin dispatched Sena Suswam and Ariana Rodriguez, 6-4, to give the Hokies the 1-0 lead heading into singles.

The Cardinals got on the board with a win at five, but Sorkin wrapped up the win for Tech. On court six, Sorkin rolled past Suswam 6-4, 6-1 to advance the Hokies into the next round.
