The Hokies opened the Buzz Williams Era in style on Friday night, as they defeated Maryland-Eastern Shore, 71-46, in Cassell Coliseum ... Freshmen Malik Müller and Justin Bibbs scored 15 points each and freshman Ahmed Hill added 11 points in the victory ... Tech did not commit a turnover in the first half and recorded just six turnovers in the game.

In Tech’s win over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Friday night, freshmen Malik Müller, Justin Bibbs and Ahmed Hill all scored in double-figures ... That marked the first time since Nov. 18, 2000 that three freshmen making their collegiate debuts for the Hokies all scored in double figures ... That night, a 92-68 win over VMI, Carlos Dixon (21 points), Chris Exilus (20 points) and Bryant Matthews (17 points) pulled off the same feat.
