Coaching Highlights
• Hall, a Virginia native, arrived in Blacksburg in 2026, with 12 years of coaching experience at the high school and college levels.
• Hall spent the 2025 season as safeties/nickels coach at Rutgers, where he mentored safety, Jett Elad who was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention with 53 tackles (30 solo) and an interception.
• Hall tutored All-Big Ten selection, A.J. Harris during the 2024 season. Harris finished with 48 tackles (28 solo), four tackles for loss, one interception and five pass breakups.
• Hall served at Ball State for three seasons (2021-23), first as cornerbacks coach and recruiting coordinator before being promoted to passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach.
• Over the 2021 and 2022 seasons, he helped the Cardinals tally a combined 22 interceptions, the second-best total in the MAC. The 2021 team finished third in the conference in scoring defense during league play (24.0) and earned a berth to the Camellia Bowl.
• Hall helped Western Illinois rank in the top 25 of the FCS in total defense in 2018. He then moved on to Howard in 2019 and Hampton in 2020.
• Hall began his coaching career at National Collegiate Prep in Washington, D.C., serving in various roles including quarterbacks coach, wide receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator.
Playing Highlights
• Hall was primarily a cornerback for the Cavaliers, also seeing action returning kicks and at quarterback and wide receiver.
• Hall also made his professional mark in the Arena Football League, setting a league record with 15 interceptions in 2011 for the Chicago Rush on his way to AFL Defensive Player of the Year honors.
