Staff Counselor
Dr. Hoff began working at Virginia Tech in 2021 for her doctoral internship where she has since been hired as permanent staff. She will be splitting her time between Cook Counseling Center and VT Athletics. She earned her B.S. in Clinical Psychology at Marywood University where she was also a dual student-athlete in tennis and swimming. She completed her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Scranton, as well as obtained her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Florida School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University.

Hoff recently earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Florida School of Professional Psychology at National Louis University in Tampa, FL. Her areas of interest include sport culture, identity development, trauma, perfectionism, LGBTQ, and relational concerns. In clinical practice, Hoff works from an integrative lens with a strong emphasis on a dynamic interpersonal approach. She believes the therapeutic relationship is the driving agent of change and works mindfully to provide a space where students can feel safe and heard while navigating the uncomfortable. Hoff’s duties include providing individual therapy, group therapy, campus outreach, and team building. She is a member of American Psychological Association (APA) and plans to obtain her certification as a certified mental performance consultant (CMPC).

In her free time, Hoff enjoys spending time with her dog Chase, playing tennis, and practicing nature photography.
